Can I see the container before I buy it?
How does payment work and why in advance?
Payment is made by bank transfer against an invoice, before delivery, because the crane truck is booked specifically for your order. ABM-CONTAINER SRL has operated since 2017 (VAT RO38400705) and its company data can be checked publicly in the Trade Register.
How long does delivery take?
For containers in stock, delivery usually takes a few working days after payment, depending on the distance from the nearest depot. From Bucharest, many customers receive their container the next day.
What do “one-trip”, “cargo-worthy” and “for storage” mean?
One-trip means a practically new container used for a single sea voyage. Cargo-worthy (CW) is a used, inspected container that can still be shipped. A “storage” container is used and wind- and watertight but shows wear; it is the cheapest option for on-site storage.
What is the difference between a 20 ft and a 40 ft container?
A 20 ft container is about 6 m long with roughly 33 m³; a 40 ft container is about 12 m long with roughly 67 m³. High cube versions are about 30 cm taller.
How should the ground be prepared?
The ground must be level and stable. The container is usually placed on 4–6 concrete blocks or slabs under the corners. No poured foundation is needed for storage.
What access does the crane truck need?
The truck needs a passable access road and space next to the unloading spot, with no power lines or branches above the work area. We advise by phone or based on photos of the site.
Do I need a permit for a container?
It depends on duration, foundation and use (storage, office, housing). Ask your local planning office before placing it. We can provide the container data sheet for your application.
Can I rent a container instead of buying?
Yes, we rent shipping, office and sanitary containers. See the conditions on the Container Rental page.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. From our depots and through our national transport partner we deliver anywhere in Romania. We also collect containers from the port of Constanța.
Can you modify containers (doors, windows, insulation)?
For modifications such as side doors, windows, insulation, electrics or shelving, ask for a quote with what you need and we will tell you what is possible and how long it takes.
Do I get an invoice and a warranty?
You receive a tax invoice for every order, with the details of the delivered container.
